James C. “Rad” Weaver is CEO and chairman of CW Interests, an investment management firm in San Antonio, Texas. Rad oversees the implementation of the company’s investment strategies, including management of direct investments in private operating businesses. Rad serves as the Chairman of the Board of Jonah Energy. He is also serving on multiple corporate boards including Cox Enterprises, KB Home, Milestone Brands, and Circuit of the Americas. In 2023, Rad was reappointed to a second term to The University of Texas System Board of Regents and he is the current chair of The University of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO) and the University Lands Advisory Board. Rad also serves on the Borderlands Research Institute Advisory Board. He has served as chair of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and as a Director of the San Antonio branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Rad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
