Jonah Energy’s Responsibly Produced Gas Program Featured in Fox News Reports

PINEDALE, WYO., March 28, 2022 – Jonah Energy hosted Fox News digital reporter Matt Leach at its Jonah Field operations earlier this month. The reporter was given a first-hand tour of Jonah’s responsibly produced natural gas program, detailing the company’s efforts to minimize methane emissions from its production facilities.

Leach filed two recent news reports:

Jonah Energy, operating in the Jonah and Pinedale fields of Sublette County, is one of the leading sustainable natural gas producers in the U.S. Its multi-year efforts to innovate around emissions monitoring, measurement and reduction have resulted in one of the lowest documented emissions profiles of any producer in the country.

Last year, Jonah Energy became the first U.S. operator to achieve the gold standard rating for low emissions from the United Nations’ Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0, the only comprehensive, measurement-based framework specifically designed for the oil and gas industry.
Jonah Energy has established an aggressive, independently verified emissions intensity target after reducing its methane emission intensity by 68% over the past three years. It relies on measurements taken by drones, airplanes, sensors posted at its well sites, and monthly handheld infrared camera readings taken in person.
